Greg Roberts Concert Recap
April 10, 2004 in Hampton, Virginia

Over the years, the Virginia area has produced some of music's finest artists. From Teddy Riley, Missy Elliott and Timbaland to Clipse and the Neptunes, Virginia is quickly being recognized as a hotbed for the newest and hottest talent in the music industry.

Greg Roberts and Soulful CelebrationThe same can be said in the Gospel arena as Virginia's latest offering to the industry comes in the form of Greg Roberts & Soulful Celebration. With an independent release under their belt (see album review), Roberts and SC are ready to make another impression. On the eve of Resurrection Sunday, Roberts and company celebrated their next effort with an album premiere concert.

Centered in Hampton, Virginia, the Sixth Mt. Zion Baptist Temple rocked and rocked hard as Roberts & Soulful Celebration brought their east coast choir vibe to the stage, accompanied by their talented band, Soulfood.

The energetic choir performed several of their favorites from their current release including "I've Been Changed", "Awesome God", and "Holy". Towards the end of the energetic concert, they offered four songs from their upcoming release titled "Unleashed". The new project is slated to hit the marketplace in July, 2004.

The studio project will feature production work from Dove-award winning producer Michael Clemons and Sony recording artist Tyrone Tribbett. If the concert was any indicator of the upcoming release, Roberts and Soulful Celebration will make this summer a hot one as they prepare to give us "Unleashed".

Enjoy a photo recap of the evening's festivities.
