On The Set

Al Wash Entertainment and crew have pulled together Kirk Franklin, Yolanda Adams and Donnie McClurkin in what is one of the best produced shows we've seen in a long time. With a plot built around the town streets of Hopeville, Donnie, Kirk and Yolanda do their respective and collective sets swapping wardrobe, background singers and mics.

What more to say? Powerful —just as you would expect —and yes, entertaining too.

Not to be missed, Smokie Norful has a career-making appearance to segue between sets. He steps out of the shadows of the three giants for a three minute welcome to his world. A few fans proudly yell, "Sing Smokie!" as if to say "Y'all didn't know?!" Well, work your three minutes, sir. They now know.

The magic of the whole production is balance. Balance of music and ministry. Balance of a set program and spontaneity. Balance of playing and praying. Hopeville works it out and has it all in control.
