Lifted Up

It is always our desire share the ministry behind the music and to support to those who have been chosen to minister to us through music. To that end, we present this regular column titled Lifted Up, where we invite you to join us in prayer for a particular minister of the Gospel.

Periodically, as we are led by the Holy Spirit, we will present to you an artist that you may wish to pray for. We encourage you to add these people, their families and their ministries to your prayer list for the week, and if you are so led, to share on the message board how their ministry has impacted on your life.

Barack Obama Whether you voted red or blue on November 4th 2008 you were part of history. President Barack Obama is obviously not a gospel artist, but he was the only presidential candidate ever to have a full scale gospel concert as part of his campaign, in addition to the events surrounding his inauguration.

Among those that performed during that rally in South Carolina were Donnie McClurkin and Mary Mary. He's also been immensely popular amongst gospel artists such as John P. Kee, Kurt Carr, and Kierra Sheard, to name but a few.

As the body of Christ, let us remember the Obama family and administration in our prayers. Believing God to lead and guide him, to order his steps, and to bring our nation under his leadership to a place of unity and excellence from Washington to the gospel music industry and everywhere in between.

Daniel 6:4 At this, the administrators and the satraps tried to find grounds for charges against Daniel in his conduct of government affairs, but they were unable to do so. They could find no corruption in him, because he was trustworthy and neither corrupt nor negligent.
