Let's see if I can bring some sanity to this discussion. First of all, none of us are "hating", at least I know that I am not. When I first remember seeing Juanita back in her early "No more sheets" days, she seemed to have humility. She used to wear baggy white shirts and no make up. Now what I see most is the designer clothes, expensive jewelry, hair, makeup, $100.00 per person offerings that she always asks for. It seems to be "All about the Benjamins!" This wedding was just a further example of her lust for money, and extravagance, and fame. I thought I was watching one of the royals getting married in Westminister Abbey. I'm not saying she has to be a plain Jane, but the bible says if you are humble, you will be exalted, but if you seek to exalt yourself, you will be brought down. I agree with those who say it was a show and that she was showing off. But you know what only God knows the heart. No one on this site knows what her TRUE motivation for such a display was. To assume that is was purely spiritual is naive. You probably send her your $100.00 once a month. Hopefully she is seeking the voice of the Lord in her life, but to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars, if not millions, (OF MINISTRY DOLLARS) on a wedding, when there are missionaries, living in huts, trying to survive to preach the word is a shame. Worship the creator, not the creation. When will we stop idolizing people in the ministry?

I do beileive that everyone who disagreed with Prophetess Bynums wedding are truly hating! You said that you remember her in her No More SHeets days when she was all homely looking and now that the Lord has elevated her to a much more stable status in financies and much, much, better attire, now she's "All About The Benjamin's?" I dont get the comment! Would you rather her be the missionary who is living in the hut?, who probably is content with living in a hut or does not have enough faith and trust in God to get out of the hut, where Juanita is not and has more than mustard seed faith?, would you rather her be the preacher who is trying to survive who is probably not living what they preach at any rate?, ...................................................................... OR, would you rather the Lord Make Rich and Adds NOOO Sorrow?
Now, I don't send in $100.00 to her ministry but i do believe in her ministry and I am VVVVVVVEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRRYYYYYYYYYY excited for her new life, her new ministry and her new deminsion in Christ! And like I said in the other post, if it was me,i would've invited the entire world to the reception and wedding
I ain't made with you though we all have our opinions about her (as you can see) Just remember the one who really loves ya bab and nothing else will matter!
God Bless You!

I thought this was a very thought provoking discussion. Some very long yet poignant essays. I like the complimenting session between you persons who posted at the end(Directu2The Vamp, One Angel and A Healthy Place). A good turn around from us arguiing with each other.
ANYWAY....I do not know Juanita personally but God does. My 5 cents is this. I love to hear and know about God's people doing well and looking good. I love the way Yolanda Adams and CeCe Winans represents at secular functions in their dress and in their spirit. They represent the kingdom well as do numerous others. Their clothing and their lifestyles are not questionable. Everytime I see Juanita speak I am mystified and just spell bound. She is one of the few persons I will watch on TBN no matter what (her and Joyce Meyers). I think she is beautiful and anointed and everytime I hear her she is talking about tarrying before the Lord and getting on your face in fasting and prayer and seeking God (Bless God) - all while being dressed well and made up. I'm tired of our young children believing that only sinners like Puffy, Master P, 50 cents, Destiny's Child, Ashanti and Eminem have the capacity to look good and be prosperous. We need our christian heroes - who have tarried before the Lord and sought his face and are walking in His purpose.
I have not seen the wedding but I am dying to see it. I love it when when anyone of the saints gets blessed even my friends at home. I have friends with their own apartment, friends with doctorates and getting promoted at their jobs and I am happy for them because they are evidence of the abundant living God has promised through Christ Jesus. I am glad she had a nice ceremony, 2 rings, one with 7 carats and 30 bridesmaids and I hope God blesses them and she remains focused on doing His will. And if any of ya'll get blessed I want to know that too cause God wants his people to prosper even as our soul prosper so I pray that your souls prosper.
...And anyone who thinks its showing off, skip that post and go the next one - 'cause everything ain't for everyone.
Now that's a little more than 5 cents thats about a dime! Holiness unto the Lord
I Was Created To Make His Praise Glorious

Hello everyone....My name is praizer. I would like to say that I watched the Bynum-Weeks wedding. It was absolutely extravagant,unique,breath-taking and marvelously spiritual. I enjoyed watching the ceremony and I am so happy that God has rewarded Prophetess Bynum and her Husband for laboring in the vineyard. To those of you who have shared negative comments...I would like to say that whenever anyone does not rejoice with those who are rejoicing is out of scriptural contents. Understand that we are servants of the most high God,and we are workers in his vineyard....there comes a time when God rewards us for our work and labor. Understand also that God pays well. Juanita and Thomas' pay day has come and those of you who do not like it.....you sure can't do anything about it...and believe me if you call yourselves christians then we should be honestly happy that God has manifested his awesome power and truth of his word to them....That he would not withold any good thing from those who walk upright before him. How would you like to go through school for many years and never reap the benefit of graduation or a degree? Well....likewise...Let's understand that this couple has been through a lot of things...now it is graduation time from poverty to prosperity for them...I am rejoicing with them. To everyone who read this post...regardless of your opinion about the wedding...know that God can do even greater things....Juanita had an 8ft cake, but I can have a 10ft cake if God allows.....Why because I serve a God that specializes in things that SEEM impossible. To Juanita and Thomas.....Blessing be upon you both always and thanks for sharing your wedding day with me and my family. I didn't want to miss that and I didn't. I'll probably use a few of your wedding ideas when I get married ....just like a million other women will do jealous or not jealous will do. I love you guys. God be with you all

because you do NOT know what you are talking about! I've been trying to stay out of this.
FIRSTLY, I have known Prophetess Bynum-Weeks since 1996. Her style and taste didn't just turn regal.
You say that she use to wear only a white shirt and black skirt?, well now she only wears a plain black dress when she ministers, besides interviews. She also still doesn't wear make up when she ministers.
Her closet is filled to the brim with designer stuff because she is a GIVER! And the Bible says that if you give it will be given GOOD MEASURE, pressed down, shaken together and runnin over! She has always had nice stuff and been able to enjoy nice things because of her giving mentality.
I'm gettin so sick of humble being passed off as being LOWLY in the Body of Christ today!
And speaking of money, she has an anointing for money? Why because God fixed her money. When she says "GIVE", it's from God and it's not often that she accepts a percentage of that offering from the church. And when she first started out w/Bishop Jakes in 1996, she held a $1000 offering consisting of 33 women that helped finance the move of Bishop Jakes to Dallas and change his ministry's flow of income in order to do the works that he does now!
So know some facts before you coming on the Internet saying how people "use to be".

First of all, no one is talking about being lowly, I'm talking about humility, and apparently you are not able to distinguish between the two. In case you have forgotten, Jesus Christ the Son of God was born in a lowly manger. Now if you have a problem with being lowly, then take it up with Him. Second of all, you are just corroborating my point, because all you can talk about is what designer clothes are in her closet, and what's in her bank account. Third of all, an "annointing for money", give me a break, what verse is that? You need to stop messing with the works of the Holy Spirit and trying to turn it into some bogus Rev. Ike thing. Peace out!!

Whoa, I just read Gingi's other message about Juanita Bynum's lust for money, and I don't agree with that at all. I was posting my message based on reading her last reply. Thats what I get for not reading everything everybody had to say...

I've read most of the posts here, and find it amazing how people talk against what God has done for someone else..
You must understand, when you speak negatively about what God has done in someone else's life, you are speaking negativity in your own household...
For the women (I believe Judah Jules) who stated the marriage is in question... What a dangerous statement, knowing that you're married as well... Praying for the marriage to be a success may be the answer, in spite of going by what you've "HEARD" This same individual also went on to tell about her wedding, well praise God, but we did'nt ask for any details, However you chose to share that info. Many people don't even know who you are, but a lot of people know Prophetess Bynum....
I agree with all that A Wealthy Place and others have stated.. God saw fit to bless Prophetess Bynum and had it to be televised because that's how her testimony was revealed through "No More Sheets" (televised for all the world to see) which I'm certain many were blessed....
When you bless God in the open (in her case on TV) God will do the same... Bless you where others will share in that blessing....
It was also stated in a post that the wedding was a "show" That lets me know that the individual who made this statement is not used to a move of God... With what she's been through, she has a right to shout all over the place... They had CHURCH!!! The way I would want my wedding to be.... It was a beautiful wedding, and God's anointing was all over it, contrary to what YOU choose to believe....
About the ring, YES SHE HAS A RIGHT TO SAY WHAT SHE DID, without it being taken as her bragging, she was boasting in the Lord...
Lastly, why is it that individuals feel that Christians should be poor and lowly??? THE DEVIL IS A LIAR!!! God's word promises to prosper me and give me a future and not cause me any harm.. You can choose to stay lowly and poor if you wish, but because I know the way to prosperity (tithes and offereings) I will experience some wealth and prosperity before I get to Heaven....
Remember God's word says, "Touch not my anointing and do my prophet no harm" In other words, Keep your mouth off of the man/woman of God.......
Be Blessed in Abundance...

Yes,
I do agreet she is a woman of God, and I am happy she got married, but some one or two things that she did in the wedding was a bit off. That is my opinion. Take it or leave it. Girl....I never really listened to Wanita...sometimes,but not all the time. However, some of you that chewed some of us out about Wanita....let me tell you something...after that message that she preached at Rod Parsley's Campmeeting this year....I would now listen to her anytime!!! And her change only came about AFTER her wedding. This is the REAL Wanita Bynum now.

Sister in Christ, I agree with you 200% and If they want proof of what you said ...especially your last statement ...they need to look at her message when she preached at Rod Parsley's Campmeeting this year 2003. Now THIS is the Real Wanita Bynum!!

I really enjoyed the wedding, I think its beautiful when two dedicated chrisitans unite in marriage. You could really tell during the wedding, that it was there time to reap God's blessings and He has truly blessed them.
The great thing about it is they honored God throughout the ceremony and His presence was truly there.
I have a long time until I get married, but Juanita Bynums wedding was a inspiration to me, that if you have patience God will bless you with the perfect mate and many blessings.
