Ira Tucker Sr.

Longtime <b>Dixie Hummingbird</b> member <b>Ira Tucker</b> passed away on June 24, 2008, at the age of 83. Tucker joined the world-famous quartet group in 1938 at the age of 13, and spent the next several decades singing bass with them, gaining a reputation for his stage presence and ability to imitate other quartet singers. In recent years, he also recorded solo projects.
