The Opening Act "Get Low" has that down south feel with AL using the Autotone for his verse while Al-Bold and SaeLah each spit some memorable bars. The song title references a clever calling for people to stay humble and on their knees as God elevates them. Lead single, "Rest of My Days" is a catchy praise jam produced by and featuring Canton Jones. This song is infectious with Jones singing the chorus while AL sings and raps the verses. It's a challenge to distinguish between the two vocalists, but the song is hot.Veteran hip hop emcee Pettidee laces the track for "Give Him Glory" which is a soldier anthem calling for people to glorify God in all areas of their lives. "Boom" is the project highlight, with a hard-hitting, pulsating track courtesy of Claude Deuce, and some nice flow from Big AL. Adjust your car speakers or iPod because this is a CERTIFIED banger. "I Write", featuring Claude Deuce again, is another highlight with a beat that is not usually found on an urban album. Big AL does a good job rapping over the beat, Deuce brings it home with some good "sangin" towards the end. Jones makes another appearance on the R&P jam "DayDream", delivering a nice hook; the song describes how thinking of the greatness of God makes problems become small. "Dreamin" flows in the same vein, with AL rapping a prayer of thanks and worship. He showcases his vocal range with some nice ad-libs while Courtney Robinson lightly sings the hook. The artistry of The Opening Act will have listeners anticipating what happens the next time the curtain rises.
