Gotta Have Gospel! 5

Gotta Have Gospel! 5 from Zomba Gospel and Integrity Music continues its tradition of the best in Gospel compilations.

CDPulling from the previous years' most successful albums, and featuring some singles that came in under the radar, Gotta Have Gospel! 5 is a great two-disc review of recent releases.

Songs like Tye Tribbett & GA’s powerful "No Other Choice" and Israel and New Breed’s "Favor of the Lord", are examples of great second string tracks that might have gotten lost behind their released single counterparts. They are highlighted here and brought together with other hits from newcomers like Dijon, Zie'l and 21:03.

Crossover artists abound, with contributions from Chante Moore and Kenny Lattimore, Dave Hollister, Kelly Price and Patti LaBelle.

And some classic Gospel artists come back, namely Tramaine Hawkins’ recently released adaption of "Oh Happy Day" and a flashback appearance by Commissioned with "Ordinary Just Won't Do" from their 2002 Reunion live release.

Kirk Franklin, Hezekiah Walker, Fred Hammond, Vickie Winans, Byron Cage and J.Moss round out the slots reserved for your contemporary favorites.

Meanwhile, Keith 'Wonderboy' Johnson and 7 Sons of Soul kick in the quartet singles with "Thank You for What You’ve Done" and "Prayin' 4 You" respectively.

But with all that going for it, Gotta Have Gospel! 5 may just go down in history for its debut of the exclusive new single "Love Him Like I Do", featuring Deitrick Haddon, Mary Mary and Ruben Studdard. Hotter than hot, the Warryn Campbell produced track is reason enough to pull your wallet out.
