Jason Clayborn presents Thee Ensemble
Music Word Tieology

There are some highly talented, anointed and underrated artists on independent labels. With that being said, Jason Clayborn, formerly of the Righteous Riders, drops a new album, Music Word Tieology, on Complete Tribe Entertainment.

With the help of his group, Thee Ensemble, Clayborn delivers a project full of clever musical arrangements; borrowing from TV theme songs and old classics.

CD "Are You Ready" integrates the rhythm from Sanford and Son, and Clayborn cuts to the chase as he asks if the listener is ready for Jesus' return.

Continuing in the same end times mode, "Go Right or Go Left", is a swinging number showcasing the masterful vocal stylings of Thee Ensemble —and they do not disappoint. Mo Horns add their brass touch to this one as the Pink Panther theme song is the arrangement on the verse.

Thee Ensemble continues to deliver on "I Am Yours", a ballad of worship in which they are careful not to overly complicate the arrangement, keeping the focus on God. Clayborn leads the standout song of adoration, "I Worship You", backed by an amazing guitar solo from Mark Hamilton.

Hearing is believing on the calypso-flavored, "Put On the Whole Armor" as Clayborn and Thee Ensemble borrow from the Smurfs' theme song during the bridge. They take it to church as the song turns into a hand-clappin' good time with several modulations. Don't worry, it's catchy and you will want to listen again and again as it is a song of joy and victory.

Other standout cuts are "Psalms 1", "The Battle" and "Don't Fear, Don't Worry". This is an album worth the search, and should not be overlooked.
