John Crowe
You Gotta Work

Any Christian artist will tell you that they are focused on propagating the world with the message of the Gospel. And most will tell you exactly what the title of John Crowe’s album suggests: You Gotta Work.

On this debut set, the Tennessee native and music minister does just that.

CDCrowe opens up this 14-song urban kaleidoscope with "Your Presence", a short worship piece that shows not only his vocal prowess, but his production capabilities as well. Crowe invites the listener into the presence of God with overlapping harmonies complete with strings that bring out a fresh sound.

The title track, "You Gotta Work", puts us back in the remembrance that we are truly the righteousness of God and that the 'work' comes from receiving it.

Throughout the album, you get a strong sense of Crowe’s Christian journey. Songs like "Been So Good", the laid back, neo-soul influenced "Found Someone" (where he sounds like he’s on YOUR church's organ!), and the funky "Can’t Nobody", establish Crowe as an artist with significant promise.

Make no mistake, You Gotta Work is sure to encourage and put back in remembrance the faithfulness of the God we serve.
