Martha Munizzi
Change The World

Martha Munizzi struck gold and found amazing success when she worked with Israel Houghton and Aaron Lindsay on her 2003 sophomore project, The Best Is Yet To Come.

CD Munizzi reteams with the same dynamic duo to deliver Change The World, an independently-released album filled with great lead vocals, great songwriting, and potent background vocals (including Daniel Johnson, Shawnee Parker, Adrian "Agee" Smith, Nikki Ross, Candy West, Melanie Daniels and Micah Stampley). Houghton and Lindsay do it again —as if anyone doubted otherwise, and Martha Munizzi has another hit record in her hands.

"Invincible God" is the right song to jump start anyone into praise. A powerful uptempo number, it's message is explanatory. "Dance" features Latin-styled horn arrangements and crazy vocal arrangement in the chorus, making it an infectious grove a la Munizzi's previous hit, "Glorious" (with a few "Glorious" lyrics thrown in to boot). Ricardo Sanchez joins with Munizzi on the reprise and the praise party goes into a bilingual fiesta.

The funky "Favor of God" is essential Munizzi, Houghton and Lindsay, with its spicy musical accents and scriptural declarations.

Munizzi shows her songwriting skills on "The King", which starts off sweetly and builds up to a wonderful proclamation of God's greatness. Kudos to the vocalists who pull off some sure-fire vocals. "Forever Always" is just beautiful from start to finish, featuring the entire roster of backing vocalists to singing the verses in a high tone which particularly showcases the tenors' smooth falsetto.

Houghton steps in to co-lead on Michael Gungor's "Wrap Me In Your Arms". "Habitation" features Micah Stampley, who brings his passionate vocals and wide range to help create a memorable time in worship.

Other songs to check out are "Nothing Can Separate Me" and the rock-driven title cut.

Change The World is an appropriate title for this album, as Munizzi continues to be used of God to break down racial walls and denominational barriers.
