Ralph Ford
Coming Again

CD Coming Again is an 11-song effort from newcomer Ralph Ford that reflects his varied musical influences.

With elements of jazz running through much of his material, the singer-songwriter, producer and director bases his vocal composition on scripture and leans on instrumental accompaniment that includes guitar, bass, keyboards and rhythm.

Created For Praise provides the choral backdrop for the album opener and title cut. "One True Love", written by the accomplished Hallerin Hill, features Ford on vocals with a sparse and lightly jazzed keyboard and rhythm accompaniment. On "No One (For LaTonya)", Ford recruits Lecresia Campbell to join him in a laidback duet for his wife. Joel Goodwin's piano smatterings weave underpin the song's arrangement.

Other cuts to highlight are "Redeemed", featuring Roland Gresham's acoustic guitar, and "The Highest Praise", a gentle praise ballad with Ford vocalizing on top of a beautifully arranged melt of piano and strings.

Coming Again is a worthy project that positions Ralph Ford as an artist to watch.
