16th Annual Stellar Award Nominations (2001)

The nominations have been announced!

Central City Productions, under CEO/ Chairman Don Jackson, are going back to the Atlanta Civic Center on January 13, 2001 for a third-in-a-row visit to celebrate Gospel music excellence. It's The 16th Annual Stellar Awards.

Hosts for this year's celebration will be Vickie Winans and Dr. Bobby Jones. Tickets for the televised award ceremonies are now available to the public through all Ticket Master outlets.

Hezekiah WalkerThe leading nomination-getters this year are Hezekiah Walker with nine, and Fred Hammond with eight (or nine if you count the "Song of the Year' nomination for his cover of Sam Cooke's "Be A Fence") and Yolanda Adams with eight (if you count the nomination for "Open My Heart" for "Song of the Year"). Mary Mary is given a nod in six categories. Several other artists also received multiple nominations.
