Kansas City is humming, prior to GMWA convening Aug 7th

Kansas City, Missouri is humming, readying for the arrival of the throngs from all over, due to begin arriving in bulk by tomorrow, in anticipation of the 37th Annual National Convention of the GMWA. There's more than plenty in store, with everything from seminars, classes, services, workshops, showcases, nightly musicals, new artist showcases and just plain 'ole hang-out time around the pianos stashed away in hotel corners.

We hope to touch it all in this GMWA blog, stay tuned for at least daily updates. In the meantime, check out the GMWA schedule (it's in PDF format), or check out the GMWA official website here.

One of the first big events, albeit not an official GMWA event, is the live DVD recording of Israel and New Breed, on Sunday, Aug. 8th at the Sheffield FamilyLife Center, 5700 Winner Road in Kansas City, starting at 7:30 PM. This is going to be PACKED!

GMWA is going to be the best ever this year. Even Gospel Today is getting involved with their kickoff concert featuring Witness and Stephen Hurd. And With the release of projects from Twinkie Clark, Jackie Clark J. Moss-Clark and Kierra Clark-Sheard, I am sure there will have to be an impromptu Clark Family Reunion. I can't wait.

GMWA is going to be off the hook! One of the highlights should be the youth programs and forums. Looking good Gospelflava.com

I am not going this year, so I expect Gospelflava.com to be my eyes and ears. I want to know the when and where; who gets signed to what label, and all the other good stuff, I want minute by minute recap. Alright, get to it.
