2012 McDonald's Inspiration Celebration
Gospel Tour

More than 2,500 gospel music fans gathered in Birmingham, Alabama on June 14, 2012, to hear the soul-stirring sounds of gospel music stars Fred Hammond, Byron Cage and Canton Jones kick off the 2012 McDonald's Inspiration Celebration Gospel Tour.

The free tour wound its way through 8 tour dates, including stops in Jackson, Dallas, Philadelphia, Detroit, Atlanta, Ft. Washington, and Chicago. Additional artists on the tour were J Moss, VaShawn Mitchell, 21:03 and Myron Butler.

According to McDonald's, the 2012 McDonald's Inspiration Celebration Gospel Tour was designed to bring positive, uplifting messages and free entertainment to the community.

McDonald's pioneered Inspiration Celebration Gospel Tour, an annual free summer concert series, to bring positive, uplifting messages and entertainment to communities nationwide. Now in its sixth year, the tour kicked off June 14 and ran through to June 30. The multi-city concert series also emphasized the importance of giving back to the community. As a part of each show, concertgoers will had an opportunity to learn more about and support Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) and the important role it plays in helping families in their local communities.

The tour is an extension of McDonald's 365Black platform, which celebrates the pride, heritage and achievements of American-Americans year round.
