DJ Morphiziz
Best of Submissions, Vol. 3

He’s back for more.

DJ Morphiziz is the host and hype man for the third installment of the Best of the Submissions series from Beatmart Recordings. It's time for more heat for the dirty south and Latin America.

As usual, the proceedings are bangin' from the start.

CD “Kick That” features Portland emcees Sharp Skills and Beatmart’s own Soul P. Middle Eastern sounds, courtesy Todd Collins, are mixed into a midtempo, choice beat. Soul P brings the party atmosphere while Sharp Skills spits flame that will whet appetites for even more heat from him.

“Gotta Have This” is a dope song that will go down as one of the jams of the summer. Pettidee laces the track while Nureau Ink delegate Applejaxx, Cash Hollister and Probly Pablo each hold their own.

The Reggaeton sound is getting bigger and is gaining heavy rotation in other markets aside from Latin America. “No Cargo Metal” is a song that has that signature Reggaeton beat, with subtle changes on the entry of each emcee. Mesianico, Godsent and Raffitto offer a half-English, half-Spanish take and is geared to hype anyone up. Radio stations, you play this one now, because it’s the truth!

“Noche de Fiesta”, featuring DJ Pure, Mercy, Bless Son and King Dave, is just that —a party. Check out the middle of the song when the beat (not the vocals) slows down like a Reggaeton meets DJ Screw collision.

On “What it Look Like”, workhorse K Drama puts it on blast with Viktory and Andale alongside. K Drama tells how important it is to listen to the Holy Spirit, who convicts him of things that may not be right in his life, while Viktory gives sound advice about getting into the industry. If you have not heard of Andale, well now you have. Watch out for this dirty south emcee, with the fiery, rapid-fire flow.

The party continues with the synth-heavy ditty, “We Won’t Stop” by Just Live and G-Notes. “We’ll Make It” is a chilled out song of encouragement with Young Josh, Activist and Epistle testifying how God brings them out of trials.

Best of the Submissions winner, Alterego, blazes on “Wrong Cross” with a grimy flow style that goes well with the Dirty South-styled beat that serves as the backdrop on this on song. Also check out “Poundin the Pavement” by C-luk, M-lotto, Bizarre the Czar.

While there are noticeably less songs on this volume of Best Of the Submissions, it's all good, because the whole is supplemented with instrumentals and acappellas for each song. Beat makers, go ahead and creat your own remixes and submit them to Beatmart.com.

Solid stuff.
