Brian Moore and Rhema
An Invitation to Worship

When you hear the name of Pastor Brian Moore, you think of a powerfully anointed preacher and evangelist. But singer? Yes, the Charlotte North Carolina-based pastor also sings, plays, writes and produces, earning him a place in the Gospel music industry.

That is revealed in the release of An Invitation to Worship, an excellent worship experience recording. Together with his female group Rhema, Moore captures the very essence of worship CDthrough power-packed lyrics, captivating harmony and smooth, melodic vocals —a recording that is sure to usher you into God’s very presence.

Moore brings in an array of renowned songwriters to contribute to the project, including David Frazier, Patrick Love, Eric Reed and Elijah Goodwin.

The title track is penned by Moore himself, and invitation to “worship Him and enter in.” With vocals that would melt a glacier, Moore wails, “…so come and worship Him.” The song puts the focus on God’s glory as Rhema minister in the background, “His glory is most here.”

Brian Moore and Rhema’s vocal blend is gorgeous. Consisting of six vocalists capable of a diverse range of vocal texture and color, these women capture hearts of harmony enthusiasts and are more than able to hold their own, their voices complimenting each other and soaring heavenward on each track.

The band is under the guidance of keyboardist Eric Reed, and compliments the project, with Elijah Goodwin, Jr. comforting with distinctive organ chords and John Dillard capturing the bottom with his bass. The veteran Eric Brice on lead guitar along with Lamont Garner guarantee a stirring ride.

The late Gwen Townsend (known for her work with Daryl Coley as part of the group Beloved), ministers “Holy,” also written by Brian Moore. Townsend’s incomparable soprano voice has a shocking range and sweet tone; she astounds as she sings out “Holy, Holy, Holy, all the saints adore thee.”

RhemaPatrick Love’s “You Are…” is a love song to God, declaring His completeness to those who love Him. Lead vocals are shared by Melanie Clark, Freida Banks and Aseelah Battle, who sprinkle the right amount of flavor while singing, “You are my hope and I worship You.” This song along with “You’re Worthy” (also from the pen of Love) add just enough intimacy to the disc.

“You’re awesome in this place” are the lyrics penned by Elijah Goodwin on “Awesome God,” a song featuring soprano Deirdra Adams who pours out her vocal offering to God, singing “for Your anointing You are awesome.”

Rhema confirms that Maestro Thomas Whitfield’s artistry will forever live on, as they bring back “With My Whole Heart”, led by Moore and Aseelah Battle. The song is sure to become a favorite all over again.

Other notable songs on the album include “We Lift You Up”, written by musical director Eric Reed, and “I Need Thee” from Antwoin Holman.

Moore also features his own The Life Center Ministries Mass Choir on “The Lord Hath Need of You”, written by Natausha Payne. With vocal leads from Lance Powell and Moore, the song encourages “the hurt, shamed, misused and abused” by telling them that the Lord has need of them.

God has done it again. With a group so anointed and geared for worship, Brian Moore and Rhema are sure to make a mark on Gospel. Fashioned with the sole purpose of giving God total worship and adoration, all lyrics point back to God and His longing and right to be worshiped, fueling worship and powering praise.
