Isaiah D. Thomas & E.O.P.
The Greatest

In the tradition of great songwriters stepping out into the performing arena comes Isaiah D. Thomas and Elements of Praise (E.O.P.).

By no means can Thomas be deemed a novice within the industry, having penned hits for a plethora of artists from Patti LaBelle to Bishop Michael V. Kelsey. However, he garnered his first Stellar award in 2007 for penning "I Will Bless the Lord", performed by Byron Cage.

CDMost recently, Thomas and E.O.P. won the 2008 Stellar Award as Contemporary Choir of the Year for their previous release, Isaiah D. Thomas & EOP Live! Pt 1. With that foundation, Thomas and E.O.P. deliver their latest effort, The Greatest, which serves as their debut with the burgeoning Habbakuk Music label.

This 13-track effort could easily be in the running for Thomas' 3rd Stellar award as Thomas navigates the choir through a bevy of solid music that skillfully spans the musical gamut with grace and authenticity. With a focus on true ministry through excellent musical presentation, Thomas and E.O.P. present a collection of songs that are both infectious by nature and chock full of substance.

From the lead single and title track, the Washington, DC based aggregation keep their focus on exalting Christ and highlighting Him as "The Greatest".

Thomas enlists a bevy of talented guests to join the choir in this worship-filled presentation. Bishop Michael V. Kelsey lends his vocals to the down-home "Said He Would Be With Me", while Byron Nickols of Richard Smallwood and Vision steps into the forefront on the powerful "Psalm 26:8".

Daniel Austin returns with the incredible pop-flavored "Focus" while Gideon Band front man Warren Jones elevates the game with "God All By Yourself". E.O.P. member Leah Clark Leach makes a serious impression on lead with the powerful "Let There Be Worship".

There's no way that Thomas couldn't lead his choir in an updated rendition of his Stellar award winning hit "I Will Bless the Lord" and the group doesn't disappoint with easily the most potent rendition of the single to date.

Yet Thomas & E.O.P. don't solely rely on the strength of their previous accomplishments, as they present an outstanding body of work that is easily in the running as one of the year's best products. It's rare that an album has such strong material that every song could be deemed a hit but Thomas and E.O.P. have done it.

This collection certainly serves as The Greatest to date in the exciting catalogue of Isaiah D. Thomas and E.O.P. and is definitively a must add to your collection.
