Katie Giguere
Bringin' Me Hope

New artist Katie Giguere shows some true promise on her high profile, albeit independent, debut titled Bringin' Me Hope from Elkader Court Music.

Filled with soul-laden pop ballads and some of the sweetest vocal grooves out there right now, the 19-year-old talent knows how to sing. Alto in range, but easily capable of pushingCD that range into soprano, Giguere's pipes are easy on the ears, with ample elements of smooth and of unhibited soul.

Prime among the numerous quality cuts are the mid-tempo title track, with its pop-soul flow, and the relationship song "Savin Myself".

On the more rhythmic tip, "Divine" captures attention with Giguere using the groove to intone how "it's all divine" when you know that God's on your side. "If Only You Knew" and "I'll Find You" also find their pocket.

Giguere nicely covers "Let's Build A Bridge", the song made popular by Michael English. The album includes a buoyant "metro retro dance mix" of the cut as well.

A glance at her bio reveals that Katie Giguere has received props from Stevie Wonder. Listening to her project, it's no surprise. Put her name down on your list of singers to watch for.
