Kiki decided to have a little fun and release a mixtape, appropriately enough titled Kiki Mixtape , featuring a few of her most popular songs along with a handful of new ones.
Kiki stepped out of the box when she recorded, the pop rock, worship ballad, "Invisible". Now she totally destroys that "box" with the upbeat, fun song, "Sing to the Lord". Think Kelly Clarkson's "Since You've Been Gone" and mash it up with Kiki's vocals. It's pretty crazy (if only her adlibs didn't get somewhat lost in the music!)
Speaking of fun, "Wave Your Banner" gets a "Monstamix" revision and this already potent song becomes even more so, courtesy of its high-energy dance track. Note to mainstream radio: Stop trippin' and play this song. It's so hot!
Kiki also includes her very first single from her debut project, the Rodney Jerkins' produced, "You Don't Know". This song still has the same kick even after all this time. Also included is "Why Me" and an extended version of "Love Like Crazy", produced by Warryn "Baby Dub" Campbell.
As a bonus, new material is in the mix, as Kiki blazes with the smooth stylings of "Teach Me" and the futuristic jam, "I Want Back", both produced by her brother, J Drew Sheard. This sibling tandem is nothing to play with!
Take Kiki's lead and have a little fun. Get the mixtape and just enjoy some yourself.
