Myron Butler
Worship

Myron Butler is a premiere vocalist, arrangers, and songwriter. From his time with God's Property, to touring with Kirk Franklin, to founding his vocal ensemble Levi, he has proven himself to be a front runner in Gospel.

His arrangements of vocalist and vocals have been in demand by top artists such as Pastor Marvin Sapp who have called upon him to provide backing vocals for his recent chart topping projects.

CDNow Butler steps to the fore with his solo release on EMI Gospel, titled Worship, a project filled with songs of adoration and praise presented in classic Myron Butler sound and style.

Recorded live in April 2011 at Irving Baptist Church in Dallas, his signature tenor sound and melodic arrangements take you into the throne room of God, presented in a worshipful and contemporary sound.

"We Bless Your Name", an up-tempo praise song written by Nolan Williams, kicks off and sets the tone for the album. Following is "Bless The Lord", the single that has been impacting radio. It's a 10-minute track that is one of the standouts on the album and will be a staple for Butler as he begins to tour.

Butler's new label mate, Tasha Cobbs, joins him on a beautiful duet written jointly by David Binon, Joshua Dufrene, and Israel Houghton. Cobb's soaring voice mixed with Myron's smooth tenor brings the song to another place and flows perfectly into "Changed'.

"Changed" reaches the heart of God and states the heart of every worshipper that doesn't want to leave the place of worship the same way they entered. Songwriters Romel Gibson and John Jackson, both known for their heartfelt songs, allow their pen to compliment the flow of the album.

One of the premiere voices in Gospel, Blanche McAllister-Dykes, lends her pipes to "Holy One", a mid-tempo number, with bright vocals and flowing movements. On "You Alone Are God", Myron mixes the worship song with the classic "There Is None Like You" written by Lenny Leblanc. This medley feel gives the song that classic praise and worship feel. On "Dwell Here" and "I Honor You" veteran Levi members and seasoned session vocalists Chelsea "Peaches" West, Deonis Cook, and Dariyan Mackey lend their powerful vocals.

The Worship Choir featured on this project brings forth life on each song and perfectly accompany Myron and other guest vocalists Gene Moore, and Meaghan Williams.

Worship brings life, a refreshing for your spirit, and a renewed state of mind to continue on in God and into your destiny.
