Saints In Praise
Yes Lord

Saints in Praise —the popular series of congregational worship music at The West Angeles Church of God releases in the early 1990’s, is one of those sets of music that simply cries out for a compilation overview.

CDVolumes One, Two and Three were issued by Sparrow Records. Kudos to EMI Gospel who issues this ten-track set, bringing back the sounds and vibe that catapulted a generation into praise and worship.

With worship leader Judith McAllister at the helm and choir director Victor McCoy making sure the effort is seamless, hit after hit is unleashed to the memory. Patrick Henderson’s production endures the decades, and still impacts.

Prime are the several medlies: “Celebration Medley”, “Communion Medley (Part 2)”, “Adoration Medley” and “Bless The Lord Medley”, each which expertly blend together multiple familiar choruses.

The self-defining “Saints In Praise” from Anthony Wilkerson and Frank Hernandez’ “Praise The Name of Jesus” are included among others. The project ends with the unforgettable smash hit “Press Toward The Mark” from Rev. Norman Hutchins.

Let your ears witness the praise all over again.
