Verbs
Unlocked

You can change the name but the flava is still the same. With that said, enter the verbal stylings of Verbs on his third release titled "Unlocked". The artist formerly known as Knowdaverbs is back on the scene with arguably his hottest project to date.

CDHe kicks this 12-cut party off with the slickly produced "Live to the Music". Produced by Pete Oquendo aka Liquid Beats, the track sets the vibe and unleashes Verbs' skills.

"She's Ms. Sin" is one of the tightest songs on the project as it's centered on man's relationship with sin. With Out of Eden's Lisa Kimmey playing the vocal role of "Ms. Sin", Verbs embarks on an awesome conversation with "Sin". The collaboration does an excellent job of expressing sin's desire to consume the believer and the proper response of a believer to those tempting situations. It's a must-hear for all new Christians and existing believers.

In fact, the song is a great example of Verbs' slick flow. Far past the "bling bling" mentality found in current hip-hop, Verbs seeks out practical issues and drops hot flows designed to identify with real issues and provide solutions.

"Love Triangle" promotes celibacy amongst young people and admonishes guys not to play with emotions of females. The song also admonishes listeners to allow true love to follow its natural progression from love into marriage and promotes commitment to love and the marriage relationship. Maura Ripoll adds her smooth vocals to Verbs' tight flow.

Verbs' longtime friends and labelmates GRITS team up with him alongside Norva Dorsaint on the gritty track "Pre-Paid". Shonlock & M.O.C. connect with Verbs on "Can You Hear Me?" They definitely bring the pain on this track and you'll be ready to party on this one.

CDAnd here’s something interesting. It’s perhaps the tightest interlude to date, and features Verbs flipping a hot reggae vibe on "Feelin' the Interlude". With a flow that would give Sean Paul a serious run for his money, Verbs shows his versatility by flowin' over this extremely trendy track.

Did someone say versatility? By far, that's one of Verbs' strong suits as he can seemingly flow over any style. "The Before and After" has an urban latin vibe, if you can imagine that. Blending elements of jazz, latin, and hip hop, Verbs smooths the project out with this track. Add jeep-bumpin' grooves into the mix like "What You Rock Now", "Run With It", and "Triumphant Outro" and you've got a big time party on your hands.

No matter what vibe, the Phoenix native brings the pain and solidifies himself as a forced to be reckoned with. Indeed the fury has been unleashed and the lyrical flow has been Unlocked.

The result? Verbs is firmly planted on the map. It's time to take notice.
