  Light In The Darkness The album brings a freshness to praise and worship in the same way that Israel and New Breed's New Season and Martha Munizzi's The Best Is Yet to  Come did in their time. Full of high energy praise songs and passionate worship numbers with hints of Rodriquez' Puerto Rican roots, the vocals of this newcomer both impressive and anointed."Nothing Compares to Your Love", written by Rodriguez and Michael Gungor, is a upbeat song that should capture the hearts of many, with its musical arrangement reminiscent of Hillsongs United, and vocal arrangements in vein of something that Israel and New Breed might do. It is also perfect for those who love to jump during song services. Rodriguez delivers the driving "We Are Champions", song of victory and expressive of being strong in Christ. Darrell Freeman's thumping bass helps to drive the point home.
Hope G brings some fierce vocal runs into the gorgeous ballad, "Alone With You", and she does it without overdoing it or taking away from the song. With a nod to his Latin heritage, Rodriguez delivers the salsa-tinged, "Lord You Are Amazing". His appreciation for different styles of music is evident and appreciated. "We Lift Our Hands" and the funky "Rejoice" have the feel of urban praise and worship. Crooner and worship leader, BJ Putnam, joins Rodriguez to sing "That's Who You Are". Light In The Darkness is the truth, with something for everyone. Take note, for Freddy Rodriguez looks to generate a new musical movement —not just because of his great voice, but for his wonderful songwriting and focus on the Vertical.
