![]() Live and Phaat In London The established Gospel crew puts the focus on praise and worship, and is headed up by drum veteran John Fisher. On their latest effort, Live and Phaat in London (which ![]() Overall, the project has a mellow feel to it, and features the IDMC choir prominently, with some notable guest vocalists peppered throughout. The band work is exemplary from beginning to end. Highlights on the album are the nicely grooved "Lord I", which features popular and award-winning choral leader Noel Robinson on an energetic jam based on Rick Founds well-known praise chorus, "Lord I Lift Your Name On High". There's a reggae vibe on "Trust In The Lord", with The Watchman delivering his rootsy flow, and choir offering call and response vocals in support. The soulful vocals of Nathan Prime grace the John Fisher composition, "Only You" and the powerful spoken poetry of Jacque Peart is featured on a short 2 and a half minute track in the middle of the album. Elsewhere on the disc, the IDMC choir serve up several meditative praise songs, such as "Down On My Knees" and "More Than", and ending with the studio-recorded, lightly urbanized encourager, "Everything's Gonna Be Alright". Putting this project on your "must listen" list would be wise move.
