![]() A New Thing ![]() It quickly becomes evident on this nearly 45-minute journey that Allen has a genuine love for Christ. Songs like "Wait" and the infectious "I Love You More Each Day" showcase her pure passion for the Savior and His character, and create an atmosphere conducive for worship. Tracks that quickly usher God’s presence include "You Are Holy", "Hallelujah-Worship Medley", and "Lord You Are the Potter". The latter of these three highlights Allen’s excellent vocal arranging ability, which adds greater richness and texture to the cut. Those looking for the bump factor will find their share with the opener, "Since You Came" and the urban-infused "It’s Gonna Be Alright". This one will make your head move towards official bobblehead status. No doubt. Yet Allen keeps the bulk of her focus on ballads and slow jams, as this is where her heart lies. Tracks like "Wait", "Lately", and the title cut keep the focal point on the artist’s writing and vocal ability, and she delivers the goods. Impressive, and one to watch, don’t sleep on Nia Allen.
