Supernatural
Heavy Rotation

Supernatural is that hip hop rarity —a hard-hitting duo coming not from an East Coast locale, but instead, straight from the islands of The Bahamas.

Consisting of Double Six and Manifest, they hit hard and strong on Heavy Rotation, spitting strongly scriptural lyrics with a phat foundational production from award-winning DeLANOJ of System 3 fame.

CDFast flows and tag-team power are the hallmark of many tracks on this impressive debut. The group's defining track may just be "Supernatural", which serves to intro the group, as they pull no punches in laying down the fact that it is Jesus Christ whom the represent.

"Let's Ride" is earmarked for the urban jeep. The hip hop groove isn't forsaken here, but with input from some members of New Jersey's Rain, the song has a catchy keyboard pounce to get attention, and encourages the lifting of spirits because "the Christ side is on the rise".

Alena Trimiar contributes her soulful vocal to "Seek Jehovah" (as well as to several other tracks on the project). Melody-driven on the chorus, Supernatural uses the song to encourage all to keep on aiming for an even closer relationship with God.

Other cuts that drop into the land of favorites are the title cut "Heavy Rotation" with Double Six and Manifest's flow in perfect synch. "Anything For You" has a slight Carribean pan flair, but is straight hip hop on top, making for a unique vibe. "In God We Trust" is soulful jam meets hip hop and "If Ya Down" is a hands-up mover. Hype party tracks, both.

This crew's flair and flow is summed up most eloquently on a track that appears midway through the project —"Jesus Is All". Hip hop framed testimony and encourager all in one, it's what Supernatural is all about.
