Video Interview: Kim Burrell

Arguably, one of the most recognizable female voices of the last decade belongs to Kim Burrell. Fusing a plethora of musical styles, Burrell has quickly become one of music’s most influential voices, with collaborations ranging from gospel greats such as Marvin Winans, Donald Lawrence, and Richard Smallwood to secular superstars as Stevie Wonder, Harry Connick Jr., and R. Kelly.

Ironically, it’s been some eight years since a solo recording from Burrell, yet she remains in higher demand, being featured on recent projects from Randy Jackson, Byron Cage, and Tye Tribbett.

In an exclusive interview, GOSPELflava.com sat down with the gifted vocalist during the Isaiah Thomas & E.O.P. release party in March 2008 (read album review; view photo gallery), to discuss her upcoming conference and thoughts on the music industry while making a MAJOR announcement.
