![]() ![]() Songs For The Storm, Volume 1 ![]() There are flashbacks to powerful tracks like "He Will Take the Pain Away" from the Nu Nation Project that proclaims the certainty of God's healing power. Franklin recalls that "It was always hard to get through rehearsals with God's Property" on the cut, since "every time we would rehearse this song we would get caught up in worship." The mid-tempo groove "When I Get There" offers a hopeful perspective when friends and loved ones have passed on to glory. Reflecting on what is to come, along with fond memories of what has been is the focus here.
For a little twist, a brand new guitar-driven track is featured. "Look At Me Now" is a defiant, fresh pop perspective number that reflects the everchanging face of Gospel and offers some encouragement to boot. An added bonus for Franklin fans is the music video for everyone's 'right now' favorite, "Imagine Me " (from the Hero album). Kirk Franklin generally sets out to offer a glimpse of hope and sunshine in the midst of whatever your trial is. For some, it is still fighting to rise from the circumstances and conditions that follow Hurricane Katrina. For others, it is in the daily struggle of routine circumstance. Whatever, the challenge, this collection of Songs for the Storm will certainly help you make it through.
